Remember Mr. Spock and his green Vulcan blood in Star Trek? Apparently, it can happen. In October 2005, at St Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, doctors were inserting an arterial line into a 42-year old patient to relieve pressure in his legs after falling asleep in a kneeling position when they were startled to see dark green blood trickle out of the patient instead of the usual bright red. This is Xander. Xander is a 2-year-old pug who was born without eyes. However, a man named Rodney Beedy took the blind animal in and made him a therapy dog. Xander is now a service dog in Oregon who offers comfort to families and victims of spousal and child abuse.

Simply put, Xander is awesome.

This dad travels for work and his children give him drawings to take with him before each trip. He got into the habit of coloring in the drawings and has created some really unique art in the process. Here are some of his masterpieces.
